Challenge learners

Teacher must approach learner as a unique individual

Value individual, avoid comparing with peers

Wholeheartedly believe every learner possesses a “core of goodness” (Moustakas in O’Hara p.147)

Appeal to the inner goodness and innocence in each individual learner.
