The transcendent teacher deliberately acts to ensure that learners feel comfortable in the classroom, the teacher creates a warm and safe learning environment. It is important that the relationship between teacher and learner is mutual and that the teacher is able to push the learner to become the best that they can be. According to Dr. O'Hara, "the transcendent teacher is firm, reliable, and fully committed to each leaner's personal evolution and development" (O'Hara, 2015, p. 7).
Such a level of committemnt tends to set the transcendent teacher apart from traditional teachers.
Transcendent teachers work to form deep, real, meaningful connections with their students. Transcendent teachers create a warm, loving classroom environment fueled by trust and interpersonal depth in which both parties benifit. Transcendent teachers make all the difference for students who are struggling in school.
