Glamour

In chapter 3, Peggy described her teacher, Mr. Santon. He came from New York City and offered his learner an interesting, unique view on life. His students were interested in his personal life, his professional life, and therefore interested in his class. Mr. Santon was glamourous not only because of his experiences but because of his personality as a teacher. He affirmed in his learners their importance and their value, something that attracted learners to him. He complimented kids, telling them he was lucky to teach them. He truly exemplifies the idea of glamour in the teaching profession. He constantly kept learners engaged, interested, and wanting more from every lesson.
